I have a problem with my Fridge. The door has dropped and no longer triggers the switch that turns off the light and starts the condensor when the door is closed. I only noticed this when the high temperature warning light came on. For now I have jammed a roll of tape between the freezer and fridge door, which raises the fridge door enough to trigger this, and cool the food again.
Fortunately my mum had this same model of fridge a few years back, and had the very same problem. Hers was under warrenty, and the repair man merely popped a few washers under the hinge which raised the door enough. The fridge worked from then on until she got rid of it.
Does anyone know how to remove the fridge door from one of these? Or have any better repair options?
