Hotpoint sdw60 dishwasher

My Hotpoint dishwasher sdw60 washes in cold water and stops with the delicate light on...I was told it was the heat exchanger so i changed that but it still does the same ...Can anyone help please before my wife divorces me !!!!! Cheers John
