Hotpoint Ultima Extra WMA64 Washing machine - new brushes?

Need to fir new brushes to Hotpoint Ultima Extra WMA64 Washing machine.

Bottom back cover removed and drive belt takes off so far. Bolts holding on the motor are extremely stiff to turn and awkward to get to.

Can these brushes be changes with the motor in situ as I'm sacred that I won't be able to get the motor bolted properly into position if I undo them and remove the motor.

How do you get the top cover off of these machines?

Don't normally remove to fit brushes, loosen locking bolt and then it should rotate on mounting bolts to a position where you can access brushes.
One of the easier jobs on a W/M.
Most W/M tops are secured at top rear with a few screws then tap top backward and release.
