Hotpoint Ultima, WD860 spin - wet and steamy after drying?

Hi,

We have a Hotpoint WD860 spin. When we use the dry function the clothes just come out red hot and steamy, still very wet!

Any ideas? also, anyone know where I can find a proper manual? All I can get is a 'user guide' which tells me next to nothing!
