I came home two days ago to find my wife cleaning up after our washer doused our laundry and kitchen room floors. After a quick inspection and a few tests, it seems that the washer had overfilled and kept going.
In an effort to wash a few clothes , I stood and watched while it filled.
When it reached a level i felt was enough, I advanced the knob just enough to start it agitating. However, it just started draining instead. I've read a few of the posts here, and I believe it may be my pressure control valve. So, my question(s) is/are: How do I make sure that is the problem? And, does that valve also control/determine when the machine agitates (or is the "no agitation" a seperate problem?)?
