I recently purchased this washer/dryer combo (within a couple of weeks). The wash works perfectly but when it comes to dry there is a very pungent burning rubber/plastic smell. I have made sure that I am not overloading the dryer (I have used it just with a couple of small hand towels in) and the same thing happens. The only possible source of the odour I can see within the washer is a grey plastic rubber gasket which is between the door and drum.
I have scoured the internet looking for people with a similar issue but cant find anyone. Is it normal for the machine to do this being new and does the smell wear off?
