We have utility room with no heating but modern house and room can get coldish. On a previous Washing machine the detergent draw used to stop emptying all the detergent after a while and black mould could be seen inside. The above named machine is now doing the same thing. We clean the draw but the top bit with the holes in is not easy to get at. Could this cold be the prob? We have good mains pressure .

After a spin clothes still wet so I have hung the hose over the sink instead of inside the waste pipe and it looks fine n dandy to me with tons of water a flowing. Any ideas gratefully received as to if we have a serious problem please?
