possibly a bra wire beneath the drum,feel around the drum you may be able to feel the end of it and pull it out otherwise front of the drum off

you have to take the m/c apart to do that, i would suggest its not a diy job.
how ever when i worked for hp an old trick we used to do was take the pump / drum pipe off and get stuff out that way, its easier and quicker,
on the other hand it may be your heater / heater bracket being nosey, but again this is not a diy job
