washer cycle stops just before final rinse, you have to move the dial forward manually to get it to continue. Any ideas ? new bushes have recently been fitted.

Have you got the rinse hold button (if fitted) switched on? This is what rinse hold does. It is so you can do most of the programme during the night but avoids any extra creases which might occur if the machine stands for several hours with spun dry garments inside.
