I love this forum. It's just saved me throwing out my 9 year old WM63 machine after reading that the motor brushes wear!. I 'pulled' mine a bit to increase spring pressure and the machine works until I can get hold of new brushes. Once again thank you all for your advise.

get some new ones asap if metal spring touches the moter it goes bang new timer needed, fleabay less than a tenner
