Hi, hotpoint wont start, I've changed the door switch and checked for power, But machine still not kicking into life ! Any ideas please??

Yep, door switch blowing can take out the circuit board attached to the timer. Have a look for burned out tracks on this board.


Unplug your appliance before working on it

Adding to tiredengineers reply-if tracks on timer blown also check for hole in door seal,water gets on to door lock and blows timer

Thanks, Tiredengineer & Nigeld, Circuit board was the cause, washer now repaired and working OK. you've saved me some cash as her in doors wanted a new machine.thanks again.....££££££££
