After the WM66 has finished its cycle it doesnt spin. It sounds like its trying to but nothing happens. All the water has been drained but as it doesnt spin, all the clothes are still soaking wet. Any ideas as to what can be done?
Did you cure the no spin fault? my WM66 is doing the same, l supsect the presure switch, its clicking but not seeming to send the signal. Result is no spin.
I have checked the pipe and it seems clear of any obstuctions.
As sleepyhead posts the fault with most hotpoint machines with motors mounted at the top of the drum for not spinning are worn brushes. The most common sympton is that the machine will go through the wash programme but when it gets to rinse and spin cycle (when more is asked of the motor) everything stops at this point and the programmer will not advance. You can then manually advance the programmer up to drain and this will empty the machine but it will not go into final spin.
