Hotpoint WMA44 Problem

Hi there

I've got a Hotpoint WMA44.

When you shut the door and press start the door locked light starts to flash and the machine does nothing.

My father tried changing the door interlock, but it made no difference.

Can anybody help please???

motor brushes worn down and taken out pcb ,not a cheap repair.

Look on back of PCB and see if any of the tracks are damaged/blown as this can happen when a door interlock blows.
We can normally repair the track by soldering a length of wire along the blown track to complete the circuit ,Normally the neutral return blows'

Always assuming the track has goen of course
