HOTPOINT WMT02

We have a secondhand Hotpoint WMT02. The belt has come off several times and we have put it back on again but today it seems to have gotten wrapped around the drum and we cannot remove the back. Does anyone have any idea how to remove the back of the machine so we can try and free up the belt. We can remove panels but it seems to be a complete unit (sides and back)

AT this time of year we cannot afford a new machine or an engineer. We have got this far with it and could do with some help please!!!!

you cant, its called a cabintet

try putting it on its back and take it out from under.

you should also re tension the motor (it has a sliding braket and bolt for this)

i only hope you havent got a sock jammed in between inner and outer tubs

Thanks for the quick response! We put it on its back but that did not help! We ended up sticking it on its front and managed to untangle it and put it back on.

Did not understand the Bolt and bracket for sorting the tension.. its late and we are both shattered!! Its on for now and we will reassesseach time it comes off!

Hopefully in the New Year we will treat ourselves to a new one!
