House alarm Accenta / optima G4 Mini, “fire fault lockout”.

New Bell Box

Stuck again – thought it would be easy to get a bell box per the ones recommended on this forum and illustrated on the alarm panel box AG3, 6 & 8 are obsolete. Reson8 is available but reviews state LED cannot be seen in daylight? Texecom Odyssey Range appears to need an eight core cable and I have only six? Note not been able to get a ladder to the bell box and have a look. Still looking at my options for this.

Accenta Mini G4 LCD Panel has six wires connected colours as shown.

Also I assume I need a SCB bell box. What are my options please?

A ....Texecom only requires 5 cores ....as do most bellboxes ....as the strobe + is not required
B ....SCB is a bit of a misleading name on the optima as it’s actually an SAB connection ....so most bell boxes are ok

Thanks sparkymarka for the clarification. One Texecom Odyssey X and cover ordered.
So lets see if I can get the connections correct?

Is there any reason way the cable colours have been connected to the panel terminals in this sequence? For a layman like me it does not make any logical sense, red as negative and black as positive. Or I have got this badly wrong!

The wiring diagram shows another two connections from “ZONE” to “FAULT RELAY” what would these be required for?

Is the above the correct setting for the jumpers (red arrow)? or do I need the LC on?
Sorry really struggling with the logic of this, and apparent none standardisation of terminal identification.

Ok Sparkymarka

Did I get the cables correctly connected on my diagram above between the panel and bell box? The diagram showing the jumper settings is this correct?

Yes I believe so, the Data sheet for the Texecom Odyssey X that I have ordered states Part: -WDD-0002 Name: - Odyssey X Description: - Grade 3 Sounder. Volume (SAB mode at 13.7VDC) = 115dB(A). The manual states: - Grade 3 Sounder & Strobe Unit Twin Piezo.

I down loaded the Installation Manual for the odyssey X Series IN627-2.

The (LIGHT BLUE) diagrams used are from the Accenta Mini G4 LCD control panel manual currently fitted and overlaid along the top of the grey diagram taken from the Odyssey X manual. That I Assume shows a Texecom control panel typical connections and below the connections for the bell box. I have then added cable colours as currently connected into the Accenta panel shown as arrows.

The jumper pictorial is also taken from the Odyssey manual with me overlaying Red double ended arrows to represent the jumpers.

Thanks sparkymarka
I will update once all fitted. Now purchased some roof bars so can get my ladder up to the Brother in-laws house.
