Labour MP Jo Stevens was / is out raged at Nicky Morgan elevation to the Lords

She said

It's absolutely disgraceful that we in the commons won't be able to scrutinise question and challenge her

Stevens previously served as shadow Welsh secretary a post she took on the 6th December 2016

The same day that Labour appointed Shami Chakrabati as labour's shadow attorney General to the Lords

The house of Lords is nothing more than a day centre for ex politicians , somewhere to go and have a doze and actually get paid £300 a day for doing so.
Nearly as lucrative as being a plumber and without the hard work.

MPs need some sort of legal oversight to make sure the laws they propose are workable. How should it be done? I'd agree that its currently not the right shape, but there is some baby with the large amount of bath water.

I agree, I'm not however entirely sold on the "elected" part.

The Lords for all. Its faults can or do have the opportunity to tell it as it is and not tow the party propaganda spiel

Having to go to the General public and spin em some BS to get there vote
