Cling film, as above, but whether the film is needed or not, I always give them a gentle shake, upside down, before storing the right way up. That ensures any tiny leaks are sealed with paint, keeping the air out.
I have never done it myself, but some people store cans upside down.

When you reopen the can, the paint is then all the way to the lip, making it difficult to stir. When you stir it, as you must, then you burst the skin anyway. At storing it the right way up, you get the chance to peel the skin away, before stirring.
