How deep is gas pipe

Hi all

I am thinking of lifting the concrete in my front garden to put some tiles down.

However I know there is a gas pipe buried there, is there anyway to know how deep it may be so I don't hit it?

The gas pipe is where the smooth looking concrete is around the bad window. It was placed there by council if that any help

Maybe contact your transporter, they might not charge for this. They can often tell you where it is.

Yes, but not how deep. Wondered if they’d come out with a scanner or confirm using their mapping system

Unlikely, unless there is a fault, problem or leak. If I needed to, could find that pipe in 10 mins.
 
Site visits are a last resort and rare. I doubt they waste any of their time faffing about locating pipes on a domestic drive re-lay. I'd have the pipe located and the drive re-laid before they could email me their 'digging close to pipes' advice sheet.
