Could someone suggest how much re-wiring is needed to replace a Sunvic MoMo Valve by a Standard spring one like Honeywell (apart from draining the system). Is it just the wiring between the Actuator and the Programmer or do the wirings in the Room Thermostat and the Boiler need to be changed too ?

Thanks and Regards

Many motorised valve actuators can be repaired, it is often the best option.

Quite simple answer SeeRed.

It is labour intense and will work out just as expensive to repair an old valve than fit a nice new one, with a warranty.

As already stated - it is not a £12 repair unless you are going to visit the customer for free and conduct and onsite repair at no cost or take the unit away to repair and return to refit it again at no cost.

More concerning is the content of the OP website which amongst other things:

Suggest ignoring advice from CORGI/GasSafe.
Suggests that many registered engineers deliver poor workmanship and have poor technical knowledge.
Doesn't accept any liability for the repairs the OP is conducting
Suggests alowing the boiler oveheat stat to control system temperature
Has a generally low opinion of the UK plumbing & construction industries
Has ignored advice from a manufacturer that encouraging the public to attempt repairs to mains powered devices is not sensible
Has a limited understanding of boiler types and seems to believe that pump overrun is a standard feature
Suggests that lots of systems may not have bypass loops then suggests bypassing the controls and allowing the bypass loop to take care of excess heat

On another section of the OPs website it state that before working on gas pipework, the gas meter MUST be removed from the premises

The OP also gives advice on working on LPG appliances and appears to charge for some of the information

In short what we have here is a dangerous amateur
