How do I bring this alarm system back

When I bought my house three years ago it came with a ADT alarm which seems to be a rebranded Honeywell Galaxy 2-20 C020. We've had a burgerly up the street so I'm now motivated to bring it back to life (at the moment it just makes a chime when the front door is opened - surprisingly useful!).

At the moment when you put the alarm code in the panel (branded ADT) says "'Status unset 02 event(s)" if you then scroll across using the buttons it says "Arc comms fail" and then "Tel Line Fail" and then "User Reset Required".

Now we don't have a phone line, so i'm guessing that is one of the problems! No idea what Arc comms is and I have no desire to pay ADT any money.

I just want the alarm to go off if one of the sensors trip rather than have it phone someone.

Is there a way to bring this back? I'm guessing ADT will have changed the default engineer code which is what I assume I need. It's all very neatly wired into the house so i'd rather not try and get a new system installed.

If I pull the cover off the box that is in the loft etc and remove the power (I assume there is a battery back up somewhere), will it go back to factory defaults?

Based if Berkshire if I need to get an actual engineer out (i'm reasonably handy tho and comfortable with electronics in general).

Have you tried entering the code, scrolling through the faults and then trying to set?

How big is the system? The 2-20 is relatively easy to reprogram and default so it won’t be a big deal

Feel free to PM me and I’ll talk you through it

Could be locked one of our customers had to pay a call out fee from ADT to change the engineer code
