I have a singe "step" that consists or a row of 100mm bricks forming a "frame" partially infilled with what I believe to be a mixture of concrete, mortar, and self leveling compound.
Despite all this the top surface of the step is not level.
How should I proceed? This is an interior step BTW leading into my office.
I intend to fit lino to the floor, but the fitters have told me lino/laminate cannot be fitted to a step since the edges with split.
What would you recommend as a cheap attractive, but simple finish?
A render of some kind? Tiles? A wooden overcoat?
