How do I fit wall plate

Hi all l am undertake changing my garage into a room with a new vaulted roof l have a single brick skin right round but was going to stud and insolate it, question is do l put the wall plate on the outer skin or on the new stud wall for the birds mouth ,thanks Loll

What do your approved building regulations documents say?

don't have one off them but l have a building inspector coming on Thursday, just wanted a heads up before she comes l do have plans which is approved by the council.

pretty sure the wall plate always goes on the internal cavity wall which would be your new timber stud walls?
