I would like to turn the attached images into functioning lamps with a lamp shade and am not too sure how to go about doing this and was after some advice? I can't seem to find anyone to repair these and each of these have different fittings at the top and I am not sure if they can be easily turned into a functioning lamp that takes a normal bulb.

I was wondering if anyone could offer and advice with this?

My Dad had a 3 foot tall ironwood lamp base that I wired up for him but it was already pre-drilled by some geezer in Borneo.

They must have had a 3 foot drill bit!

its worth pointing out that if this is a "for profit" type scenario to sell on they need a pat test [portable appliance ]to prove they are safe so factor this in to the price
