How do I measure our water pressure?

We've just had a new bathroom and installed a Mira 'Infuse' thermostatic shower (with a combi boiler). The problem is that shower head is constantly dripping (every second or two). After ringing Mira for help they asked what our water pressure was, and if it was over 5bar it would cost £69 for an engineer to come out.

How can I check what our water pressure is without buying a pressure gauge? Is it possible? Even for a rough idea?

Yes we have a washing machine!!
It's placed downstairs right next to the combi boiler, whilst the shower is upstairs. would this be a problem/different reading?

...and that will give me the pressure that reaches the Mira Shower? ie it would be different downstairs & upstairs?

Are they not looking for the water flow measurement as well? Easy enough with a weir cup or 2ltr jug.

Thanks to you all for your very quick help!!

I'll order the gauge and give it a try.

Cheers!!!
