New window were installed in this house before we moved in. There was no external lintel so we had them fitted.

The plaster came off in the process, how do I go about plastering this gap?

I cant see how I can attach plasterboard?

Would expanding foam be ok then skim on top?

The wood noggins in the pictures is not attached to anything.

Thanks for any help

Whats there looks like plasterboard.

So it seems most obvious to fit plasterboard in the gap, scrim old to new, and plaster over the lot to the front edge.

You could screw some battens in place against the lintel above.

If there is a gap above the window, you could foam that.
