After removing the old tiles plaster pulled away from the wall... Exposing some of the brick work

I just wanted to know how I should prep the wall ready for tiling?

The wall is in the kitchen and it is exterior facing

1. Make a mix up of 4 to 1 of water and pva and brush on to the wall ( 2 coats to stop the suction from the plaster )
2. Buy a small bag of bonding plaster and mix to a moose like consistency and apply to the deepest holes to the level of the surrounding plaster , leave to dry overnight.
3.give the whole area to be plastered a coat of diluted pva mix.
4. Buy a bag of finishing plaster and mix to a thick but not runny consistency and apply to wall, leave for 5 to 10 minutes to firm to a putty like feel to the touch. Then trowel flat .

There are plenty of videos on the web to show you how to apply plaster and once you have done a small area like that you will see it's not that difficult.

Good luck
