Hi all i would like to ask for some advice on removal of our old clay lining from our 1970s chimney. We are planing to install a multi fuel burner and need to remove the old lining in order to insert the metal liner. The chimney is straight up. We have been quoted £2500 which is a lot from our budget, so any advice would be great. thanks.

Why do you need to remove the clay liner?
We need to remove it as the internal size is 4inches with them inplace and the minimum required is 6 inches.
