Hello,
Im in the middle of having lead valleys redone and have to strip the slates to the top of one of the ridges and remove one ridge tiles, its probably lime mortar bedded.
I absolutly dont want to break this as its an old house and wont be very easily replaceable if at all.
I was going to try and tap the bottom edge upwards on alternating sides with a heavy rubber mallet.
Is there are tried and tested method of doing this?
Cheers
