How do I remove window tint?

Any ideas how I should remove the tint film on my car windows?

I fitted it myself a few years ago, and it starting to look shabby. Id like to replace it but I guess it wont come off easy.

No it will not. It's a right pain in the *rse. The only way is to start picking at one corner, slowly but surely. It'll be a lot easier to use a scalpol or similar, but obviously being VERY careful to not scratch the glass. And then once the film has been removed, use some sticker remover (or similar) to remove the remaining glue.

heat it to soften it and it will come off in big patches.

Use a hammer. Stand well back. It's Illegal.
