I'm wanting to replace this towel rail switch with a timer so I can have it go on for half an hour a day. As it's a bathroom I realise it will need to be done differently. Can you help?

Cheap and simple are the priorities. Thanks very much for your help.

Chances are that current supply is off the sockets circuit, so you need the fused spur to fuse down, you also want some means of isolation for the heater. So you could use that, but you'd want to be putting it after the existing fused spur not instead of it.

Those timeguard units are simple to set up and will take care of the switch between GMT and BST themselves too
