I live in a flat, i have a huge mains pipe in a cupboard going from people downstairs to upstairs. I only have a 15mm feed from this, my main stop is on the 15mm.
Currently i have an electric shower fed via plastic and a bath fed from a tank via a lead pipe. I'm looking to put in a gas shower (not actually gas but you know what i mean) fed from a combi boiler.
The boiler is just the other side of the wall from the bath, so i really want to join the bath and shower onto the boiler rather than have the bath fed from a lead pipe because it makes me uneasy. I dont drink my bath water but i'd like to be able to.
Anyway, if i tee off the 15mm cold to the boiler for the bath/shower, will the boiler still get enough water? what about if i put the toilet and the sink on the cold water feed to the boiler?
basically how many things can i put on a 15mm pipe?
Does it matter since the mains is reduced to 15 to begin with?
or is it better to split to two 15mm early on rather than a long run and then split?
I'm probably overthinking this but as i say, i'm not a plumber
