How do you drain coolant from a Mondeo 1.8 2002

Is there a drain plug? Do you need to take off the bottom hose? If so, how do you access it?

usually from underneath by drain plug or if not present release bottom hose

are you wanting to drain it to change it? if it's the pink coloured coolant (should be) then this has a 10 year life, not like normal anti-freeze.

I need to change it. The current coolant will only be adequate down to zero degrees C.

I am told you should not mix types and can't tell the colour of the current stuff so figure it's best to change it.

I know I can remove the bottom hose, but access to it is a problem so wanted to know where the drain plug was if there is one ( Cos I can't see it).

if there is a drain tap it would be on the bottom of the rad, so either way your doing to have access probs, it would be quicker to remove bottom hose as the drain tap will take for ever to empty the cooling system
