I am toying ith the idea of replacing some damaged chipboard flooring in my kitchen with WBP.

Because I am extremely lazy, and a very slow worker, I will probably do a few panels, ang get tired before humping all the other appliances and cabinets out of the way to finish the room.

If I leave the ply uncovered, will it stand up to being walked on, or will the surface erode and splinter?

I will probably throw down a roll of vinyl eventually.

your one of the most prolific posters on the forum yet you cant find time to lay some lino ;)

ply will be fine as long as the edges are fairly flush you avoid excesive wetting [constant damp]
and as long as you take the same care as you would on lino
