How does this come off?

Hi,

I've tried an adjustable spanner (doesn't grip) and grippers. Shouldnt this be an easy job to tighten up a toilet seat? Am I missing a trick?

Should be easy, pipe wrench is the best tool

Thanks. I've worked it out. The toilet seat unclips from the screws so you can then tackle it from either side. It was so easy that I feel annoyed with myself!

Take the seat off, then pop off the chrome cover off the top and you should find a screw under there. Tighten that
