Hi!
It's the old, is this wall load bearing question. I was just wondering if there's anyone who could tell by experience the likelihood of these walls being load bearing.
For information, It is a flat on the second floor of a 7 storey purpose built flat, 1950's-60's and says it's brick, concrete, steel built on the inspection form.
I can see "beams" on the ceilings.
1. The diagonal (right side) wall in a cupboard, trying to take down and square off to make room for washing machine. walls dont sound solid when i knock.
(3rd picture is from the other side of the wall)
2. The cupboard in the kitchen, strange thing is that inside the cupboard the ceiling does not go all the way up to the room ceiling. Walls don't sound solid when i knock on it.
Look forward to hearing your experiences!! Thanks
