Hello
I've been painting a bookcase with oil based liquid gloss paint and had a problem with one of the shelves. As it was drying some dust blew over it which has now set in the paintwork.
Therefore I would like to rub it down enough to remove the dust and repaint it.
I know that gloss is dry enough to recoat in 16-24 hours, but how long before it can be rubbed well down please? Some articles say it can take seven days or more for it to fully cure and of course I want to avoid lumps of paint coming away when I start sanding...
Thanks for your advice
Robin
