I've been advised i should not do more then about 3 rows of tiles in one go due to the risk of them sagging. Is this correct? Is their any specific rule of thumb we should follow in regards to the number of tiles laid in one go?
Richard, OOI, do you mean the powder is better than the readimix tub?
I though a tub of white Fix and Grout would be sure to be a good mix and consistency.
Christ Sergent, keep echoing my spouts & people will be thinking you’re my alter-ego but I agree with you on all counts . I often use White Star though, excellent stuff in the right circumstances.Personally, I wouldn't ever use premixed, use powdered adhesive and grout - I cannot fault BAL, plus you get a good amount of time to work with it prior to setting.
Sorry thought you were just teasingno I'm not
Seriously, fix & grout cannot not be regarded as a tiling product; it might be OK for small DIY repairs to get you out of a hole but you won't find any pro tiler using it.just got a few loose tiles to renew and grout after replacing an underfloor pipe. I haven't done much tiling.
'Appen I'd best stick to my trade and carry on with the Bikini Waxing business then.
