What is the area you need to tile?
Tiles are sold by the square metre. So turn your area into square metres & divide.
or
If you cant do that measure all the walls & post the dimensions, measure doors & windows also.
Post it on here & someone will do it for you, even the tile shop will

+ 10% for cuts & breakages

Im guessing this is a female & that she wants to know how many tiles to buy for a tiler, ie sort out a cost.

No, yes on the 'a female' part but that 'a female' will be tiling but is crap at maths! Trying to improve

Well your gonna need to be able to use a tape & do a little math to make a decent job of it. Please read the Tiling Sticky & Forum Archive posts before doing any more work or buying materials. It’s important you prep correctly & use only quality trade tilling materials of the correct type for your tiles & tile base; the cheapo DIY stuff is mostly crap. Tiling isn’t rocket science but I fear it may not be quiet as simple as you might think. Have a read, come back & ask any questions & advice you need, it could prevent you making disastrous & potentially expensive mistakes. Are you tiling floor & walls? What size/type of tile are you going to be laying?

Cool, thank-you for the advice, I have tiled before but never been able to work out the sqM without help! I dont know the size yet.....thanks again

take each wall as a square. measure its length and width in metres. then multiply the length by the width and note down the result. move onto the next wall.

if you have doors\windows or other areas not to be tiled such as where the bath is (hope you have some!) again treat them in the same way but note them down to be subtracted. Dont forget to undermeasure your window as the reveals (the bits that go into the window) need some tiles too.

when your done, add up all the includes and note the total, then add up all the excludes and subtract that total from the include total. thats how many you need.

As stated before add 10% to allow for breakages and complications.

if your struggling post your measurements and i'll check them for you.

Most tile shops will let you take more than you need and then return those that aren't used. They will also work out how many you need.

Thank-you so much, I might post them to double check!
