Right now the 20mm plastic condensate piping from a Worcester S30i condensing boiler goes down a wall in the kitchen then through the wall horizontally to join a bath outflow. I will be moving things around a wee bit and so was going to reposition the pipe (an effort in terms of drilling through, don't have suitable drill/bits etc!) so considered just using a reservoir to collect it instead. Any idea how much is produced say when the central heating may be on for 6 hours, and showers general hot water? Obviously if it is a lot then I don't want to have to keep emptying the thing every week, or run the risk of forgetting. Any ideas of volumes?

surely you can have it drip into a sealed container of some sort??

just found a quote of "A typical rule of thumb for boilers and water heaters is 0.1 l/h of condensate per boiler kW rating".

so 30kw x0.1 x6hrs = 18 litres per day - that seems a bit steep. would certainly rule out using a container.

another question tho.....can the 20mm pipe be replaced with something smaller to make my relocation simpler?
