how much gravel

Hi Folks, my front drive way is gravel ,about a 1/4 of it has eroded, where does it all go :confused: anyway i need to top it up, it mearsures about 7 metres square how much shall i ask the builders merchants to deliver as i dont think a few bags will do the job and end up dearer Thanks P M

You need 7 metre x 7 metres x thickness, then you need a 1/4 of that
 
7M X 7M = 49 square Metres.

at, say, 40mm deep = 2 cubic Metres as the crow flies.

A quarter of that is half a cubic metre.
 
so buy a whole cubic metre and keep some for "spare" :LOL:

I have 6 tonnes of it in my garden, still could do with more

no, its been there for must be 4 + years, coverered the garden in it, only about 1 inch deep at most
 
sounds a lot but we shift amounts like that by hand on a daily basis (well the boys do i just supervise them now!)
 
you have boys to do it? pah, i had me, my self and i , oh and a mate for a day

oh and i did it all with a pair of tweezers :LOL:
