Hi. I have a flat concrete canopy over the front door of the house. (approx 2Mtr wide and 1Mtr deep). I want to build a pitched roof with sloping sides. I'm quite good at DIY, so am really looking forward to this. My problem is I have no idea of what angles/pitch to use or the distance to have between the batons ready for the tiles. I want this to be my own design but need some basic info to start with. Advice please.

Sounds like you want a hip at each end.
To achieve this on a 2m span and a 1m run, you would need to drop pitch down to 15 degree. This would limit your choice of tiles and in our opinion look naff.
Would suggest a lean to roof and providing no windows above lower than 900mm above concrete canopy then you can use a 35 degree pitch, 700mm rise and rafter length to plate of 1200 plus overhang
Rafters 400 centres, plain tiles, gables filled in either uVPC cladding or shiplap.
Word of warning, make sure canopy will take additional weight.
