How to change Hotpoint Aquarius WT740 door seal

Hi all,

I've looked at the other threads and watched the youtube vids etc. about changing door seals. One thing I'm stuck on is how to remove the outer retaining clasp that goes around the outer lip of the door seal.

It looks like a thin metal wire band with two loops at the end, that hook onto a very tight spring. I can't see any kind of lock to undo. Does anyone know how you take it off?

Use a thin screwdriver to ping it off. Then refit just stretch it back on. It goes on and pulls off in 1 piece.

Thanks. It looks pretty taut to me but I'll give a try. Got to come off somehow hasn't it?

Also, do you know how I remove the lower front plastic cover (the one right by floor level). I'm assuming I need to take this off in order to unscrew the main fascia?
