Hi All,

Planning a bathroom renovation and would like to have a raised platform for freestanding bath. Ideally like the wooden one if the first pic.

My plan was to use 2x4 with ply on top. What i cant figure out is how to then cover this, for example the first picture has a seamless thick edge - how do i achieve this look? What type of flooring is used?

Would tiles be ok on 2x4 with ply on top?

Tiles would be ideal , timber will look pretty till someone uses the bathroom.

"first picture has a seamless thick edge - how do i achieve this look?"
I would gues that the corners are mitred.

Could be a veneer or factory made for the job.The photos are adverts , not real bathrooms so often do not reflect reality .
