I've started drilling holes into new plaster and after about 300mm I'm hitting a metal wall or something metal (might have something to do with the conservatory doors) the plugs I have are around 350mm so I've ordered some more plugs to fit 300mm. Is there anything else I can do to get this up before the new plugs arrive?

You have drilled in 300 m !!! , is it dry lined , solid wall , breeze block ?
Feels like metal, could be lintel I not sure
