How to Extend cable to move a light switch? (Ed.)

Extending a wall light which has two red wires

How do i connect a new cable to these wires so i can extend the cable, please?

I’m not an electrician but I’ve just had the same issue but you can get orange push fit splice connectors. Get yourself some more cable, push one end into the connector and the existing wire into the other and you’re done. Once pushed in though, they don‘t come out so if you change your mind you would need to cut the wire.
