How to extend tile overhang

I have an old barn with a tiled roof where the tiles stop pretty much flush with the edge of the building. There is no gutter underneath so I need to fix that but is there anything which can be slipped under the tiles to give the rain an extra inch or two of run off to allow it to reach the gutter, rather than running down the wall?

I'm sure someone mentioned something along these lines before but I can't remember what it was called and Google isn't helping on this one.
