How to fill 30mm gap?

Hi again all!

It seems we havent built our wall up high enough to take the window flush as it is 30mm off. If we were to fit the window now it would have to measure 1530mm high. How are we to fill the gap?Should we use expanding foam - 15mm of it top and bottom?

If you do use expanding foam, be careful not to put in too much as it is so strong that it could bend the frame out of shape and the glass wont fit. (Thats assuming its a upvc window.)
