how to have cctv on a pc desktop monitor.

Hi all again
I want if possible to view my cctv via my existing vga monitor so the signal from cctv and pc will need to be split (some how) I know I can have software to view on the internet but I want not to use the internet and just view on my existing pc monitor (with internet switched off).
I will have vga from cctv dvr and vga from desktop so is there a switch I could use (ps monitor to pc is 1m, cctv dvr to monitor is 10m)
Any links on a powered vga splitter would be great.Or is there an alternative.

I'd have thought that any KVM switch would work... It shouldn't matter that the DVR doesn't have a K or an M.
