So, the boss decided to have a hand dryer moved in the gents from one wall to another because in its original location it was audible in the meeting room on the other side of the wall. He engaged a sparky, and the job is done, but the wall has been left in a mess. We have not been able to source replacement tiles, so I need to come up with a creative way of hiding the damage. The black insulation tape covers a damaged area including an elongated hole with sharp edges.

I guess some of you will have had to make good damaged walls when electrical equipment was removed. So how did you do it?

I was going to cover it with some artwork in a frame, but it's quite low down on the wall (just above waist height) and would look odd. There's a door to a cubicle just out of the picture to the left so whatever goes there can't protrude too much. And there's a large mirror integrated into the tiles on the right.

So I'm looking for a creative way of hiding the damaged tiles and blanking plate.

The blanking plate can be removed as there are no longer any cables behind it.

There is an empty conduit in the wall so it could be possible to get an electrical supply there.

Laminate a picture of the boss and paste it over the area?
Sort of a 10CC solution. :D

Or a
Mirror
Condom machine
Toothbrush dispenser

The possibilities are endless.

Another hand drier, but don't connect it up.

A waste bin.

A first aid cabinet containing a half bottle of brandy and a pack of pornographic playing cards.

A trompe-l'œil painting of a ragged hole in the wall and the meeting room beyond.

A panel with lamps and counters and code keypads and safety toggle switches, labelled EMERGENCY BUILDING DESTRUCT SYSTEM - AUTHORISED USE ONLY.

You are from Yorkshire, so you might not be aware of this.

Grey is not the only colour.

Stainless steel plate.
Classy!

It's at waist height, what were you thinking it would be used for

Condom Machine
Don't think the boss would approve of that in company time

Toothbrush dispenser
Probably would protuude too much, and I'm not sure that many of us still have our own teeth.

Hand wash alcohol dispenser
To cover all of the holes it would need to have a capacity of several gallons.

Hey! now you're talking......anyone have a phone number for Banksy?

Why not pull the four(?) tiles and fix four contrast tiles?
... or even identical tiles, if they can be found. Kind tilers often leave a few 'spares' in some dusty corner of the building.

Kind Regards, John

The OP said in his opening post that he couldn't source the same tiles.

Ah - so he did  However, if he hasn't already done it, it still might be worth his looking around the building to make sure that no 'spares' were retained at the time of tiling.

The building is 7 years old and we have spare carpet and ceiling tiles, but not wall tiles. There were 6 buildings constructed at the same time and they all have identical wall tiles.

I searched around in ours and looked above the suspended ceiling and inside the cistern and sink enclosures to see if I could find any spares or fixed tiles I could remove that wouldn't show. If there are any spares I suspect they will be in the last building to be constructed. I'll see if I can have a chat with the neighbours.

That makes sense.

Can't do any harm - but I imagine that you probably won't be holding your breath!
