How to hold down/flatten flashing (leadax)

I thought I’d give Leadax a go due to lead price. All seems ok except for keeping it flat down secure to the roof sheets. All images and videos online make it look easy to flatten it down. Mine just bounces up again. I can’t beat it too hard as it’s polycarbonate underneath.

Does anyone know my options to secure it down?

For the top of the sheets I’m tempted to use polycarbonate fixings through the flashing into the wood below. Although I’m worried I’m introducing extra holes on top that could leak. The other one runs down along the sloping sheet and there’s a glazing bar under it which would prevent water getting under but am more concerned with wind lifting it up.

I’ve got some lead sealant for the chase does anyone know if that acts as an adhesive I could use?

is the film off? ubiflex do adhesives for their product

Yes film is off both sides. This is Leadax though it doesn’t have an adhesive side if that’s you mean.

Found some high tack adhesive for Ubilex online. Says it turns a strong bond with tile, brick, mortar but doesnt mention plastic. Will look into using this or similar if I don’t get other options. Ubiflex looks to be sand ur similar to Leadax. Couldn’t find adhesive when searching for Leadax maybe it’s not as popular as Ubiflex.

Actually the Leadax site says Leadax Sealant can be used fir overlaps and keeping it down in high wind. I’ll get that.

I didn’t know if the no nonsense lead sealant I have for the chase (not leadax sealant) is the same stuff though.

Did you use a roller?

I’ve tried it since, but not with the £35 they sell! But a different one I have already and it doesn’t stay down flush it still flexes back up a bit.

But even if it was down it’s easy enough to lift it, so am sure wind would pull it up.

I’ve stuck two pieces together with the lead sealant to see if is enough of an adhesive to use. Waiting till tomorrow to check.
